Dear Friends, Family and Community
On May 16th, 2025, a significant fire impacted the assembly and finishing areas of our warehouse-showroom. Thankfully, our showroom itself sustained only minor smoke damage and was otherwise unaffected.
We are currently working closely with our insurance provider and adjusters to begin the process of recovery and rebuilding. At this time, we anticipate that our operations will remain paused until January 2026.
If you are interested in purchasing from us or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@argentinapoloandleather.com. Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time.
Warmly,
Audrey & Alberto Mondet

Experience Timeless Craftsmanship
Our warehouse-showroom offers a rare opportunity to experience a collection of exceptionally beautiful and traditionally crafted fine furniture. Each piece is meticulously built using solid Mesquite Ironwood from Argentina. No veneers are used. All joints are mortise and tenon, providing superior strength and adding to the integrity of each piece.
From our factory in Salta, Argentina to our warehouse in Tucson, AZ each piece is thoughtfully and carefully assembled and hand finished. Select from dining, bedroom, occasional tables, entertainment and office furniture – each designed to blend lasting beauty with timeless functionality.

The Carril Collection: A Legacy Reclaimed
We are proud to present The Carril Collection crafted from hardwood railroad ties laid throughout Argentina between 1860-1920. The reclaimed wood ties are made from Quebracho, called “Ax Breaker” by the Indigenous people of Argentina. Quebracho is a very tight grained wood and up to 60% denser than the Mesquite Ironwood used in crafting our other fine furniture.
Naturally weathered, the unique character of the reclaimed rail ties is exposed as each piece is finished. Holes where railroad spikes once were are either pegged with Quebracho, left exposed, or, when appropriate, left with the steel spike intact. Each piece is hand finished and buffed, thereby enhancing the natural, warm red-brown tone.
The Carril Collection reflects upon a time when steam engines puffed through the Pampas, Patagonias and northern regions of Argentina, offering a tangible connection to the past through extraordinary craftsmanship.

We’ve appreciated serving you for the past 25 years.
